History:

According to the history of Trinity Evangelical Church of Elliston, Ohio, published in 1932, Old Elliston Cemetery was begun on May 11, 1872 by Benton Township.    Elliston Cemetery, across the road, was begun in 1884.   Both are currently maintained by Benton Township.
