National Monument on June 2, 1936.
Johnson's Island and Johnson's Island Cemetery National Historic Landmark
Danbury Township
Established in 1862, the Johnson's Island facility housed as many as 10,000 Confederate
prisioners of war. Only the Confederate Cemetery is open to the public.

Marblehead Lighthouse is the oldest lighthouse in continuous operation on the Great
Lakes. It has guided sailors along the shores of Marblehead Peninsula since 1822.
